El circuito callejero diagramado en la zona de la playa brava de Punta del Este tendrá este fin de semana a la mejor actividad del automovilismo deportivo: el comienzo de los campeonatos nacionales y de la espectacular categoría argentina TC2000. Las tres categorías compatriotas que estarán presentes son Superturismo, que tendrá 25 participantes, Turismo Libre, con 18 pilotos inscriptos y Superescarabajos que cuenta con 20 anotados.
La Superturismo promete un comienzo excepcional, con importantes presencias, tales como Fabricio Larratea, Fernando Rama, Daniel Ferra, Alfredo Mariño, Guillermo Laguardia, Ignacio Moreira, y Fernando Dacal.
Debutarán Fernando Etchegorry, ex campeón de Superescarabajos y Carlos Espósito, ex campeón de Turismo Libre, destacándose también el retorno de los hermanos Jorge y Javier Pontet.
En Turismo Libre debutará Giordano Hernández, enfrentándose a rivales de la talla de Luis De Luca, Javier Aratti y Federico Oroná, en una carrera que promete ser muy pareja, apasionante y emotiva.
Los Superescarabajos aportarán su habitual cuota de competitividad, teniendo a varios animadores de primer nivel como Santiago Calleros, Fernando Mengot, Gustavo Zucco y al reaparecido ex campeón Víctor H. Morales.
Las dos ediciones anteriores fueron las carreras finales de TC2000.
Pero ahora es la fecha de apertura con toda la expectativa que ello aporta.
La nómina de los principales equipos y los pilotos más destacados es la siguiente.
Honda: José "Pechito" López (actual bi campeón), Leonel Pernía y Mariano Altuna.
Ford: Martín Basso (único ganador de las dos ediciones), Norberto Fontana y Gabriel Ponce de León.
Fiat: Emiliano Spataro y Emanuel Moriatis.
Peugeot (que vuelve oficialmente luego de 8 años): Luis José Di Palma y Juan Cruz Álvarez.
Chevrolet: Guillermo Ortelli y Christian Ledesma.
Toyota: Mariano Werner y Facundo Ardusso.
Renault: Juan Manuel Silva y Ezequiel Baldinelli.
Escudería "Río de la Plata" Juan Ignacio Cáceres y Franco Berardi.
También estará presente la competitiva categoría Fiat Línea Competizione.
El sábado la actividad comenzará a la hora 8.00.
Habrá tandas de entrenamientos libres y series de clasificación.
La carrera de Superescarabajos será a las 16.45 y la de Turismo Libre a las 17.25 horas.
El domingo Superturismo largará a la hora 10.05.
La monomarca Fiat a las 11.05 y TC2000 comenzará a las 12.50.
