El regreso de Samuel Eto'o al Camp Nou es lo más destacado en el sorteo de la fase de grupos de la UEFA Champions League celebrado este jueves en el Forum Grimaldi de Mónaco. Además, Kaká, ya que Real Madrid y Milán están en el Grupo F, y Zlatan Ibrahimović también regresarán a la que era su casa hasta hace unos meses. Aun así, no ha sido un sorteo excesivamente duro para los equipos españoles. Sólo el Club Atlético de Madrid, que tendrá que vérselas con Chelsea y Porto, tendrá más de un rival excesivamente complicado, ya que el Sevilla ha quedado encuadrado en el Grupo G con Rangers y el Stuttgart como rivales a tener en cuenta.
REGRESO:
El actual campeón de la UEFA Champions League, el FC Barcelona, comenzará su defensa del título dentro del Grupo F viéndose las caras con el FC Internazionale Milano, donde está Samuel Eto'o, en lo que será también el regreso de Ibrahimović a la ciudad italiana.

El FC Dynamo Kyiv, viejo conocido en Barcelona, y el FC Rubin Kazan ruso, actual campeón de la liga de aquel país serán las complicadas salidas, en gran parte por el duro invierno, que tendrá que afrontar el conjunto azulgrana.
OBJETIVO MADRID:
Los 32 equipos fueron divididos en ocho grupos de cuatro, y el actual finalista, el Manchester United FC, quedó encuadrado en el Grupo B junto a PFC CSKA Moskva, Besiktas JK y VfB Wolfsburg, por lo que a priori no debería tener problemas para pasar a la siguiente fase.
Además, Liverpool, ACF Florentina, Olympique Lyonnais y Debreceni VSC forman uno de los grupos más igualados, al igual que el que formarán FC Bayern München, Juventus, FC Girondins Bordeaux y Maccabi Haifa FC.
Por último, el cuarto equipo inglés, el Arsenal FC, ha sido el más afortunado entre los cabezas de serie, ya que sus rivales serán AZ Alkmaar, Olympiacos FC y R. Standard de Liège.
CALENDARIO:
Los encuentros de la fase de grupos se disputarán el 15/16 de septiembre, 29/30 de septiembre, 20/21 de octubre, 3/4 de noviembre, 24/25 de noviembre y el 8/9 de diciembre.
Los ganadores de cada grupo y los segundos clasificados se clasificarán para los octavos de final.
La final se disputará en el estadio Santiago Bernabéu de Madrid el sábado 22 de mayo de 2010.
Los equipos que finalicen en tercera posición de cada grupo de la fase de grupos pasarán a los dieciseisavos de final de la UEFA Europa League.
